We’re in this together

Continuing with my last blog with regards to being memorable, here is another fun (and funny) moment I had while “shooting” an event.

This was a large event at the Shaw Centre, probably about 2000 delegates in attendance. As I was circulating the room looking for my next shot, and I noticed that there was someone there creating balloon art (similar to what you would see at a children’s party). Unfortunately, he wasn’t getting a lot of attention. After a brief chat, I said “make me a crown, I will wear it while I am circulating the room. Maybe it will drive people your way.”

He nailed it (see cover photo)! He made me a crown in the shape a camera so not only did it demonstrate his creativity, but it also made me more visible as the official photographer. As the evening went on, I saw more & more crowns, rings and other adult-friendly balloon art!
